Resident Lila Howard Honored with 60 over 60 Award

Resident Lila Howard was honored at a banquet on May 20th after receiving a “60 over 60” award sponsored by Duncaster. Mrs. Howard was nominated for the award by Regional Dining Services Director, Jim Bain.

Mrs. Howard has led an inspiring life. She was the first female director of Flightways flight school on Long Island and also served as Chairman of the Long Island MG Sports Car Club. She has been a commercial pilot, a race car driver, a paralegal, and a dental assistant at different points in her lifetime. Currently, she serves on the Resident Council, volunteers in the Café, and is the resident photographer.

In the award nomination, Jim Bain said, “She is an outstanding person and we can all learn from her for her grace, elegance, personality, and willingness to help others.”

Congratulations, Mrs. Howard, on a well-deserved honor!
