The Watermark at East Hill Presents “Home of the Brave-When Southbury Said No! to the Nazis” Viewing

On Thursday, April 26 The Watermark at East Hill will welcome Ed Edelson, former First Selectman of Southbury.  He will host a viewing and follow up discussion about the making of the documentary “Home of the Brave: When Southbury Said No! To the Nazis.” The film tells the little known story of how in 1937 Southbury town patriots came to recognize the evil the Nazis represented and quickly took action against the regime. This was two years before The Nazis declared war on the US and many years before the horrors of the Holocaust.

Mr. Edelson was a founding member of the 75th anniversary commemoration committee that brought together religious leaders, historians, journalists and foundations to create this important documentary and related events.
