The Watermark at East Hill Celebrates 1930s in Style

East Hill is celebrating a different decade each month. In February, we celebrated the 1930s. Lots of great things happened in the 1930s, but one of the biggest was great movies. Charlie Chaplin, The Marx Brothers, and Edward G. Robinson were big names, just to state a few. The Wizard of Oz, Walt Disney’s Snow White and Gone with the Wind were all released in the 1930s.

East Hill associates transformed the auditorium into Grauman’s Chinese Theatre for the evening, complete with table-size Oscar awards and famous artists’ “handprints” on the Walk of Fame! Residents and associates dressed the part and enjoyed wonderful jazz music all evening long while dining on a 1930s-style menu.
