About the instructor:
Angie Jacques, BA, AFAA Owner of Yoga on North, Willimantic, CT holds a BA in Psychology and studio arts, AFAA certified and a Reiki 2 practitioner. In 2005 she completed rigorous coursework in anatomy and physiology, breathing techniques, meditation, alignment, history and ethics of yoga. Since becoming certified she has attended and taught dozens of workshops in related topics. In 2018 she brought free outdoor yoga to Willimantic in support of the local food pantry and later that year established YOGA on NORTH! Yoga should be affordable, accessible and approachable and at Yoga on North it is. Outside of the studio Angie is the Yoga teacher for many of the UCONN sports teams including Football, Baseball, Dive, Hockey, Row and others! She instructs fitness and yoga for local senior centers and retirement communities. Angie is heavily involved in local charities. Her mission is to inspire and motivate students to take an active role in their physical and mental well-being through the practice of yoga, meditation, movement and the healing art of reiki.
She will create and hold a space for you to flourish and shine and be the best version of you.
