Our Assisted Living, The Inn at Cherrywood and The Villa, are surveyed by the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health every two years. The survey process is rigorous and comprehensive. It is important to be mindful of a community’s performance during state surveys when exploring living options. Surveys are a good indicator for families needing to make a decision on where to place a loved one.
We are pleased to share that our assisted living achieved a deficiency free survey this year, which is quite an accomplishment. The survey process looks at all aspects of an assisted living community, including resident care and service, nursing documentation, employee records, dining, activities, safety related areas like fire safety, and the overall operation of the business. We are very proud of our team, who work hard each and every day to ensure compliance with all state and local regulations and more importantly on delivering an outstanding experience to residents and their families.
Achieving a deficiency free survey is not easy. It takes a lot of hard work, diligence, and dedication. It is a true reflection of the terrific care and service being provided to residents..
